Men's Basketball Travels to Alabama for Two Games

Chants will face IU Indy and Alabama A&M at the Bulldog Bash

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's basketball program will be back on the road for two games at the Bulldog Bash on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, at the AAMU Event Center in Huntsville, Ala.
 
The Chants will face IU Indy (formerly IUPUI) in Friday's action at 5 p.m. ET, and will play the host team, Alabama A&M on Saturday, also at 5 p.m. ET.
 
THE SERIES
 
The Chants have never played IU Indy or Alabama A&M.
 
ABOUT THE CHANTS
 
CCU enters the game with a 1-3 record after falling to Jacksonville State earlier this week.
 
Rasheed Jones continues to lead CCU in scoring averaging 14.8 points per game. He is shooting 50 percent from the field and an even better 59.1 percent on his three-point attempts.
 
At the start of the week, Jones led the Sun Belt Conference and was 19th nationally in three-point percentage, while also standing third in the conference and 72nd nationally in three-point field goals per game (3.25). He is also third in the conference and 59th in the nation in total three-point field goals made with 13.
 
Denzel Hines is coming off an 11-point performance against Jacksonville State and is now second on the team in scoring averaging 10.3 points per game. He also leads the team in rebounds averaging 7.5 per game.
 
Hines has picked up one double-double on the season which led the Sun Belt Conference at the start of the week and was 70th nationally, while also standing fourth in the Sun Belt and 92nd in the country in defensive rebounds per game at 6.25.
 
Jordan Battle (9.8 ppg) and Noah Amenhauser (9.3 ppg) both average over nine points per game, while Amenhauser leads the team with four blocked shots and five steals.
 
ABOUT IU INDY (formerly IUPUI)
 
The Jaguars enter the AAMU Bash with a 2-3 record after falling at No. 5 Iowa State 87-52 earlier this week.
 
They average 80.0 points per game and shoot 45.5 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the three-point line and 75.5
percent at the free throw line.
 
Paul Zilinskas leads the team in scoring averaging 18.6 points per game. Jarvis Walker averages 13.4 points per game and leads the
team with nine steals, while Sean Craig averages 9.2 points and a team-leading 10.2 rebounds per game. Nathan Dudukovich has
been coming off the bench and averages 9.0 points per game.
 
ABOUT ALABAMA A&M
 
The Bulldog Bash will see host Alabama A&M playing on their home court for the fourth and fifth time in the team's first seven
games of the season and are presently undefeated (3-0) at home. They enter the weekend with a 3-2 record and are coming off a 93
45 loss at Georgia.
 
AAMU is averaging 88.6 points per game and has three players average double figure scoring. London Riley leads that group
averaging 13.7 points per game, followed by Chad Moodie at 13.4 points per game and AC Bryan at 10.2 points per game.
 
Moodie is the team's rebounding leader at 5.8 boards per game, while Darius Ford leads the team in assists (23) and in steals (10).
