Coastal Earns Myrtle Beach Bowl Bid

Chanticleers set to stay home for postseason appearance

CONWAY ---- Coastal Carolina football will make its fifth consecutive postseason appearance when it faces off against UTSA in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Dec. 23, 2024, it was announced Sunday. Kick from Brooks Stadium is set for 11 a.m. ET on ESPN. 
 
Both programs head into the contest with a 6-6 record. Coastal has posted a 2-2 bowl game record and with its appearance in the 2024 Myrtle Beach Bowl will have competed in a bowl game in five of its first eight seasons at the FBS level. 
 
Coastal Carolina and the Roadrunners have never met on the gridiron.  
 
While the game is on the Coastal Carolina campus, it will not be a home game for the Chanticleers. Myrtle Beach and the Myrtle Beach Bowl serve as the official host of the neutral-site contest. 
 
TICKET INFORMATION 
  • Tickets are available online here: https://goccusports.evenue.net/promotions/WEST
  • The stadium box office, located outside Gate 2, will open at 9 a.m. 
  • Will Call will open at 9 a.m. 
  • Fans are strongly encouraged to buy tickets through Coastal Carolina in the link above. 
 
PARKING INFORMATION 
  • Parking lots for the 2024 Myrtle Beach bowl will open at 7 a.m. 
  • Premium and Prime parking is only available with a lot specific parking pass.

  • Fans are encouraged to purchase passes in advance of game day. 
  • Lot DDD, across 501, contains ADA accessible parking spaces. Access to these spaces is on a first-come, first-serve basis for individuals with official state-issued ADA placards. Once spaces are filled, parking attendants will direct guests to alternative parking locations. Guests may choose to utilize the drop-off service next to Brooks Stadium but will be required to exit the lot afterward and relocate the vehicle to the appropriate lot and space. A direct route ADA accessible shuttle provides transport from Lot DDD to Brooks Stadium. 
 
TAILGATING INFORMATION 
  • To ensure everyone has equal space and that plenty of space is available for game day use, fans are limited to one space per car. Tailgates may be set up at your vehicle provided they do not block access for vehicular traffic passing through the lots. Common areas near your parking space (i.e. grassy areas) may be used for tailgating. 
  • Reserving or blocking parking spaces off is not permitted. 
  • Tailgating items (chairs, tables, tents, etc.) must be confined to the small area in front of or behind your vehicle. 
  • All glass containers or bottles and open fires are prohibited. 
 
CLEAR BAG POLICY 
  • Approved bags permitted in Brooks Stadium include: 
    • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" -- A logo no larger than 4.5" x 3.4" can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag
    • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
    • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" -- approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
    • Medically necessary items (after proper inspection at specified gates)
  • Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:
    • Bags larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
    • Briefcases
    • Backpacks
    • Fanny packs
    • Cinch/Drawstring bags
    • Luggage of any kind
    • Computer bags
    • Diaper bags
    • Binocular cases
    • Camera bags
    • Non-approved seat cushions, which include large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments or covers 
  • All clear bags and clutches are subject to inspection upon entering the venue. Medical and infant exceptions will be made as necessary. 
 
PROHIBITED ITEMS 

All prohibited items at home athletic events remain the same, other than bags that do not meet the new clear bag policy. 

●      Coolers, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks
●      Food of any kind (Medical & Infant exceptions)
●      Video cameras, tripods, recording devices, detachable camera lenses over 6", selfie sticks
●      Weapons/concealed weapons
●      Laptops
●      Glass
●      Alcoholic beverages
●      Containers of any kind
●      Aerosol and spray cans (i.e. mace, pepper spray, hairspray, etc.)
●      Umbrellas
●      Air horns
●      Animals (Service Animal exception)
●      Laser lights, strobe lights and pointers
●      Irritants such as artificial noisemakers
●      Fireworks/explosives
●      Inflatables (beach balls, etc.)
●      Flags and flagpoles, unauthorized banners, or posters
●      Strollers
●      Illegal drugs
●      Drones
