CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina softball team completed an undefeated opening weekend at the Kickin' Chicken Classic, posting its third consecutive shutout with a 2-0 win over Campbell on Sunday at St. John Stadium.

The Chanticleers used small ball to break a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on the corners and one out,
Keirstin Roose laid down a bunt that brought home
Ally Wojciechowski to give Coastal Carolina a 1-0 lead.

Coastal extended the lead in the bottom of the sixth as
Delaney Keith led off with a single and scored two batters later on a throwing error to double CCU's advantage to 2-0.

The Chants' continued their dominance in the circle as
Raelee Brabham and
Nicolette Picone combined to limit the Camels to a pair of singles while striking out seven. Brabham tossed 5.0 innings of one-hit ball with six strikeouts to earn the win, while Picone struck out two and allowed one hit in 2.0 innings of relief to notch the save.

Coastal Carolina will travel to Leesburg, Fla., on Feb. 16-18 to face Ohio State, Penn State, Liberty, Iowa, and Illinois in The Spring Games.
