Chants looking for consecutive spring wins
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will be back in action at the Rivertowne Invitational Feb. 26-27 at the par 72, 7,188-yard Rivertowne Golf Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
CCU will be looking for its second consecutive team championship after winning the Sea Best Invitational just two weeks ago.
Charleston Southern will host the event and will welcome a strong 15-team field that includes The Citadel, Longwood, Fairleigh Dickinson, Winthrop, USC Upstate, Morehead State, Elon, Radford, Richmond, UNC Asheville, UAB, Murray State, High Point, along with CCU and Charleston Southern.
Head coach Katie Quinney has set a lineup that includes Hannah Karg, Varatkarn Kunkaew, Luisa Gibson, Sara Sarrion, and Isabella Spinazze. Isabella Galla will play as an individual in the Invite.
The two-day, 54-hole event is scheduled for a shotgun start between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. ET each day and will consist of 36 holes of action on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
