Men's Golf Opens Spring Season at Sharkey Collegiate

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will tee off the spring season at the 2024 Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate men's golf tournament running Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 3-4 at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course in Statesboro, Ga.
The event is an individual tournament and will feature individuals for Auburn, Augusta, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, ETSU, Florida State, Georgia State, Liberty, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, USC Beaufort, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Georgia Southern will host the two-day, 54-hole event with the field playing 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 holes on Sunday on the par-72, 6,900 yards course. Tee time will be 8:15 a.m. ET each day.
Head coach and Coastal alum Jacob Wilner will have Trace MCDonald, Owen Kim, and Brady Duval playing in the event.
"We are excited to get these three players some tournament action, head coach Jacob Wilner said. We are also at home qualifying for our event of the spring where they and the rest of our squad are eager to compete in a team environment."
