PONTE VEDRA, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team shot a 21-over 309 in Sunday's second round of The Hayt, at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, Fla. The Chants will enter the final round in 14th place with a 40-over 616 (307-309).
Jack Lee is the CCU leader in the clubhouse with a five over 149 (76-73). Lee had a team-high four birdies in the second round, two on each side. He will enter the third round tied for 27th.
Seth Taylor shot a 77 in today's action and has carded a six-over 150 (73-77) over the first two rounds. He is tied for 37th after today's round, while
Garrett Cooper is tied for 49th with an eight-over 152 (74-78).
Ludvig Eriksson finished Sunday's round with a 21-over 165 (84-81) and is tied for 81st, and
Owen Kim is 83rd with a 25-over 169 (87-82).
Trey Crenshaw is playing as an individual and comes out of the second round tied for 59th with a 10-over 154 (77-77).
North Carolina was one of only two teams' under-par in Sunday's action and will have the lead going into the final round at four-under 572. Alabama and Ohio State are tied for second at one-under 575. Virginia (+7, 583) and Louisville (+15, 591) round out the top five.
Duke moved up five spots in today's round and will enter Monday's action in sixth at 16-over 592. South Florida and North Florida are tied for seventh at 19-over 595, while Charlotte, who also moved up five spots, is ninth at 25-over 601 and Central Florida is 10th (+27, 603).
In front of CCU and finalizing the field are Liberty (+29, 605), Jacksonville (+32, 608), and UTSA (+35, 611).
