CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team competes in its second home event of the season this weekend as CCU hosts the Chanticleer Challenge on Mar. 29-30. The Chants will take on Catawba and Erskine on Friday while facing Emmanuel and UNCW on Saturday at the CCU Sand Courts. Coastal will honor its 11 seniors prior to Saturday's match against UNCW.

  
WINNING WAYS
Coastal enters the weekend on a nine-match winning streak, which is tied for the second-longest in program history. Only the 2021 team, which won a program-best 11 consecutive matches, and the 2019 squad have recorded winning streaks of at least nine matches. Madison Allred and Raychel Ehlers have won all nine of their bouts at the No. 5 flight during the winning streak and have won 17 consecutive sets. 
 
HOME SWEET HOME
Coastal Carolina is 36-14 all-time at home and the Chanticleers have won 36 of their last 44 home matches over the last five seasons. CCU won all four of its matches in the Coastal Carolina Invitational earlier this month and has won 12 of its last 13 matches at home.
 
COASTAL & CATAWBA HISTORY
The two teams will be meeting for the fourth time, as the Sandy Chants are 3-0 all-time against Catawba. The Chants met Catawba last season with CCU winning 5-0.  
 
COASTAL & ERSKINE HISTORY
Coastal Carolina has all eight meetings against Erskine. The Chanticleers won a pair of 5-0 decisions against the Flying Fleet in 2023.

COASTAL & EMMANUEL HISTORY
CCU is facing Emmanuel for the first time in program history.
 
COASTAL & UNCW HISTORY
The Sandy Chants are 7-9 all-time against the Seahawks. UNCW claimed a 3-2 win in the last meeting on Mar. 2.
