RALEIGH, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track and field teams traveled to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to compete in the Raleigh Relays at the Paul H. Derr Track on the campus of North Carolina State.
The Chants sent four cross country and distance runners to Raleigh for this weekend's meet, Molly Jones from the women's team, and Trey Kraimer, Garrett Ricardo and Nehemiah Cionelo from the men's team.
Jones finished 20th in the women's 1000m with a time of 33:25.80, the highest finish of the competition for CCU.
On the men's side, Kraimer placed 33rd in the third section of the men's 800m with a 1:51.27 time, Ricardo came in 35th and 204th in the 800m and 1500m at 1:51.33 and 4:05.62, respectively, and Cionelo finished 50th in the second section of the 3000m steeplechase at 9:11.86.
Next up for the Chants is a trip to Gainsville, Fla. for the Tom Jones Invitational at James G. Pressly at the Percy Beard Track on the campus of the University of Florida on Apr. 12-13.
