Track and Field Travels to Florida for Tom Jones Invitational

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to travel to Gainsville, Fla. for the Tom Jones Invitational at James G. Pressly at the Percy Beard Track on the campus of the University of Florida on Apr. 12-13.
The Chants' previous meet came at the Raliegh Relays in Raliegh, N.C. on the campus of North Carolina State. Coastal sent four athletes to Raliegh in seniors Molly Jones, Nehemiah Cionelo and Garrett Ricardo and junior Trey Kraimer. Jones finished the three-day meet with the highest finish, placing 20th in the 1000m on the women's side. Kraimer finished with the highest placement on the men's side, claiming 33rd in the second section of the 3000m.
This weekend's meet features Sun Belt foe Texas State, as well as a host of power 5 members such as host Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Day one of the Tom Jones Invitational opens tomorrow at 9 A.M. ET, starting with the men's and women's discus throw.
