NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team (8-13, 2-6 SBC) is set to square off against the James Madison Dukes (7-13, 0-8 SBC) in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Thursday, Apr. 18 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga. 

The Sun Belt Conference released the full nine-team bracket at 9 A.M. ET today, starting with the 8-9 matchup between Coastal Carolina and James Madison on Thursday. 

The Chants closed out the regular season portion of their schedule on the road with a 4-2 loss to South Alabama and a 4-0 loss to Troy on Apr. 13 and 14.  

JMU enters the conference tournament on the back of an eight-game losing streak, going 0-8 against Sun Belt opponents. The Dukes ended their regular season with a 4-0 loss to Old Dominion on Saturday. 

In their matchup with JMU on Apr. 6, Coastal defeated the Dukes in a 4-3 thriller at the Stevens Tennis Complex. Coastal led 3-0 after winning the doubles point and the third and sixth-seeded matches in singles with Lucas Wayenburg beating JMU's Agusti 6-3, 6-3, and Eric Tripathi defeating Edson Sanchez also by a score of 6-3, 6-3. After going down 3-0, the Dukes rattled off three straight wins in the first, second and fifth-seeded matches, each coming in the third set. The final point came down to the fourth-seeded matchup between Maj Tomac and JMU's Markus Giersiepen. Tomac dropped the first set 6-2 but came back to win the following set 6-4. In the third and final set, the match was tied at five apiece after the first 10 games. Tomac would secure the outright victory for the Chants after claiming the matches' final two points to win 7-5. 

CCU vs. James Madison is set for a 10 A.M. ET start on Thursday, with the winner advancing to face the No. 1 seed Georgia Southern Eagles on Friday.
