CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina softball student-athletes Brie Normandin, Jay Wrightsman, Libby Pippin, and Keirstin Roose were recognized for excelling in their academic pursuits this year.
Normandin, a freshman, was named the General Chemistry Student of the Year. She was one of three students to earn this honor after demonstrating her excellence in Chem111/Chem112 throughout the year.
Wrightsman was named the Spanish for Healthcare Professions Student of the Year. The Myrtle Beach, S.C., native garnered this award due to her strong proficiency in Spanish and her drive for academic excellence, as well as showing dedication to working alongside the Hispanic community.
Pippin won the 2023-24 Department of Communication, Media, and Culture's Most Outstanding Sophomore Award for her academic performance and commitment throughout the year.
Roose was nominated for the Exercise Science Student of the Year Award, which is a positive reflection of the hard work and dedication she has shown to the department. Roose also was awarded first place for her poster presentation of the Psychological Interventions and Perceptions of Sport Psychology Among Division I Athletes during the 2024 CCU Undergraduate Research Symposium.
