CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will return to the road for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series with the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in Hattiesburg, Miss., Friday through Sunday, May 3-5, with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, and noon ET on Sunday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ or fans can listen live on WRNN 99.5 Hot Talk.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters the week 27-17 on the year and 11-10 in Sun Belt play, having dropped its last five games.
• Coastal has hit 65 home runs on the season with Blake Barthol and Zack Beach tied for the team lead and are 86th in the NCAA with 14 bombs while Graham Brown has added 11 blasts.
• Sam Antonacci leads the team with a .381 batting average, 41 walks, and hit-by-a-pitch 20 times to get the offense started from the top of the lineup. He has reached base safely at least once in the first 43 games played this season for a team-high .550 on-base percentage.
• Defensively, the Chanticleers are third in the NCAA and lead the Sun Belt Conference with 46 double plays turned.
• Riley Eikhoff has made 11 starts, for an ERA of 4.96 having given up 32 runs on 62 hits while striking out 36 batters with a 5-0 record.
• Cameron Flukey is 2-2 on the year with 14 appearances and six starts. Flukey has an ERA of 5.75 having given up 24 runs on 34 hits while striking out a team-high 59 batters.
 
ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
• Southern Miss enters play at 28-17 overall and 12-9 in the league and lost its last SBC series with Louisiana 2-1 and won a midweek contest over New Orleans 5-4.
• The Golden Eagle pitching staff has allowed 45 home runs and has struck out 443 opposing batters and issued 220 free bases. Batters are hitting .257 against Southern Miss.
• USM's Colby Allen anchors the pitching rotation with a 6-2 record. Allen has thrown 45.0 innings in 17 appearances, allowing 28 runs on 47 hits with 58 strikeouts.
• Billy Oldham (5-1) and Niko Mazza (6-3) have started 11 games each for the Golden Eagles. Oldham has thrown 63.2 innings, allowing 31 runs on 53 hits with team-high 69 strikeouts. Mazza has allowed 32 runs on 53 hits while striking out 67 batters over 59.1 innings.
• Southern Miss is hitting .280 and have belted 48 home runs, six triples, and 86 doubles for 283 RBIs.
• Dalton McIntyre (.384) and Davis Gillespie (.306) are the only USM hitters hitting over .300. McIntyre has hit two home runs, one triple, and seven doubles for 25 RBIs, while Gillespie has smacked six home runs and eight doubles for 24 RBIs.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH SOUTHERN MISS
• The Chanticleers lead the overall series at 2-1 with Southern Miss, with Coastal winning the 2023 regular season series 2-1 at Springs Brooks Stadium.
• This is the first time CCU will play in Hattiesburg, Miss.
• The Chants and USM first met in Conway, S.C., in April 2023 with Coastal winning two of the three games in the series.
