Justin Gray has announced the signing of Marcus Watson to the CCU roster for 2024-25.

Watson transfers to CCU after spending last season at Towson where he sat out the season after being injured.
In his previous two seasons at North Carolina A&T, he played in 61 games and started 55 of those. He averaged 13.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 40.7 percent from the field. He also hit 75 three-point field goals and shot 72.5 percent at the free throw line.
The 6'-6" forward grabbed a total of 318 rebounds in two years and added 27 blocked shots, 52 steals, and 99 assists.
Before moving on to NCA&T, Watson played one season at New Mexico State (2020-21) where he played in 12 contests. He averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds while averaging 6.5 minutes of action per game.
Watson played at Buford High School and was a consensus four-star recruit. He was listed by 247Sports.com as the nation's No. 45 overall player and the No. 8 shooting guard. He was also a member of ESPN's Top 100 list, which also ranked him as the No. 17 small forward nationally. He was named the Gwinnett County Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019.
