CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's basketball head coach Kevin Pederson has announced that transfer Emilia Tenbrock has signed with the Chanticleers for the 2024-25 season.
 
"Emilia is a great pickup for us at Coastal Carolina. There weren't many players in the transfer portal that had a game where they scored over 40 points at the D1 level, and she was one of them," said Pederson. "Her high IQ, great length, and elite offensive ability are all features that we think will help her make an immediate impact on Coastal WBB this season."
 
The 6-1 guard made 24 starts and played in all 31 games last season for the McNeese State Cowgirls, averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game while grabbing 4.1 rebounds per game and notching 1.5 assists per contest in the 31 games played. Defensively, Tenbrock blocked 13 shots and tied for the team lead with 44 steals. Tenbrock also led the Cowgirls with 44 made three-pointers, shooting 42.3 percent from beyond the arc, and was McNeese's top free-throw shooter, making 110-125 attempts from the charity stripe (88.0 percent).
 
The Dusseldorf, Germany native scored a career-high 40 points against Texas A&M-Commerce while shooting 14-of-26 from the field including 4-of-9 from three-point range. Against Lamar, Tenbrock was 16-of-16 from the free throw line while scoring 25 points. Tenbrock averaged 15.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in Southland Conference games.
 
Before arriving at McNeese State, Tenbrock played three seasons at Columbus State, where she started 52 games and averaged 11.7 points per game and grabbed 4.7 rebounds per contest, while blocking 33 shots and tallying 94 steals.
