CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the Summit Hospitality Group Open at NC State on Sept. 21 - 22. The Chanticleers will face Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) on Saturday, Sept. 21 before meeting host NC State on Sunday, Sept. 22. CCU's contest versus the Wolfpack will be available for viewing on the ACC Network Extra.

ABOUT COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers enter the weekend at 3-6, having lost a pair of contests to the nationally ranked No. 16 Tennessee Volunteers (3-1 and 3-0). Coastal leads the overall series with the Rams 2-0 and has a 1-2 record against the NC State Wolfpack.
CCU is led by
Jalyn Stout, who has 106 kills, 145 assists, and 102 digs, to average a triple-double.
Emily Fowler,
Agata Lesiak,
Lauren Malone, and
Dilara Unal aid in the offensive attack with 84, 68, 54, and 29 kills, respectively.
Cagla Bengi leads the team with 149 assists.
Defensively, Unal leads the team with 28 blocks and Lesiak has stopped 15 kills at the net.
Sydney Lewis's 118 digs have helped put the offense back in attack mode.
ABOUT VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH
Virginia Commonwealth enters play with a 1-5 record, having dropped its first three matches before the Rams won their first match in the finale of the VCU Invitational over Winthrop. VCU is 2-2 versus NC State.
Julia Rienks leads the attack with 63 kills while Lara Del Core (55), Jasmine Knight (46) and
Alicja Jaryszek (40) have over 40 kills each. Abby Edwards leads the team with 94 assists while Rienks' eight service aces are tops on the team.
Anja Kujundzic has 77 digs to get the attack started while Knight (10) has stopped double-digit kill attempts with Rienks adding nine blocks.
ABOUT NC STATE
NC State sits at 4-2, having won its last three matches over Liberty, North Florida, and South Florida. The Wolfpack is 2-2 overall in matches with the Rams.
Amanda Rice (69) and Ava Brizard (50) lead the team in kills with Courtney Bryant, Madison Williams, and Jada Allen adding 43, 40, and 31 kills, respectively. Naomi Cabello is NC State's top assist leader with 134 while Kate Peterson has added 88 helpers.
Allen (24), Sophia Groom (17), and Rice (17) have stopped double-digit kill attempts with Skye Stokes leading the team with 86 digs.
