CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team looks to repeat as the Sun Belt Conference champions as the Chanticleers open SBC play at home in Conway, S.C., versus Marshall at the HTC Center on Sept. 27 – 28. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers enter the weekend at 4-7, splitting a pair of contests with the VCU Rams (1-3) and NC State Wolfpack (3-2). Coastal leads the overall series with the Thundering Herd 4-1 and is riding a four-match winning streak with the first meeting coming in September 2012.
CCU is led by
Jalyn Stout, who has 124 kills, 190 assists, and 122 digs to average a triple-double. Stout has recorded five triple-doubles on the season and 19 for her career.
Emily Fowler,
Agata Lesiak,
Lauren Malone, and
Dilara Unal aid in the offensive attack with 103, 89, 64, and 37 kills, respectively.
Cagla Bengi is second on the team with 173 assists.
Defensively, Unal leads the team with 38 blocks and Lesiak has stopped 20 kills at the net.
Sydney Lewis's 143 digs have helped put the offense back in attack mode.
ABOUT MARSHALL
Marshall enters play with a 9-4 record, including winning three straight matches in the Greensboro Invitational hosted by UNC Greensboro. The Herd knocked off Georgetown (3-1), Tennessee Tech (3-0), and UNCG (3-0) last weekend.
Brynn Brown and Audrey Geer lead the Marshall attack with 118 and 112 kills, while McKenna Melton (73), Beatrice Ciccarelli (59), and Olivia Fogo (52) have over 50 kills each. Brown leads the team with 271 assists while Greer has 16 service aces to pace the team.
Peyton Neal has 218 digs to get the attack started while Ciccarelli (48), Izzy Collier (29), and Greer (21) have each stopped at least 20 kill attempts with Brown (19), Fogo (16), Megan Taylor (12), and Marae Reilly (10) adding double-digit blocks.
