CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team will travel to Nashville, Tenn., to take on the Belmont Bruins on Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Chant Talk

• CCU owns a 1-2-2 record on the year after picking up its first win over UAB last Sunday.
• Coastal keeper Vivienne Carr was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. The last time a Chant received this honor was when Katelyn Kellogg was named Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 30, 2022.
• The Chants have recorded two goals on the season off the boots of freshman Olivia Goretski and redshirt sophomore Tamlyn Parkes.
• CCU has been outfouled in every contest this year and has picked up just two yellow cards on the season.
• The Chants will be seeking their first road win since beating Stetson, 1-0, on Sept. 11, 2022.

Last Time Out

• The Chants beat the UAB Blazers 1-0 for their first win in the new CCU Soccer Complex.
• Jessica Wheeler drew a foul to award the Chants a penalty kick in the 86th minute, which Parkes burried into the bottom corner to give CCU the win.
• CCU was outshot 9-8 but the Chants led 5-3 in shots-on-goal.
• Parkes led the team and matched her career-high with three shots in the match.
• Carr made three saves and kept her second straight clean sheet of the season.

Scouting the Opponent

• Belmont is 1-4-0 overall on the season.
• The Bruins's lone win came against Middle Tennessee when they won 2-1.
• Belmont has recorded four goals on the year with Reagan Ross leading the squad with two goals.
• Four different Bruins, Leah Firsdon, Anna Samuel, Olivia Walker, and Laken Whittington, have tallied an assist on the year.
• The Bruins were dealt their biggest loss by Vanderbilt when they suffered a 5-0 shutout loss.
• Belmont has had two goalkeepers see action this year. Graduate student Sydney Jones leads the team with 16 saves and a 2.57 goals-against average.

History Against

• This is CCU's first-ever matchup versus Belmont.
