NEW ORLEANS — Matchups for the second round of the 2024-25 MAC-SBC Challenge have been set for Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, with Mid-American Conference men's teams playing host to Sun Belt Conference squads and the Sun Belt women's teams welcoming MAC foes.
Coastal Carolina's men's team will travel to Bowling Green while the CCU's women's squad faces Buffalo at HTC Center.
Game times and television opportunities will be announced later.
In the first round of this season's matchups, the men's team knocked off Western Michigan on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024 at HTC Center while the women won a 65-62 decision on the road at Central Michigan the same day.
ABOUT THE MAC-SBC CHALLENGE
The MAC-SBC Challenge – a scheduling alliance between the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference in men's and women's basketball – runs through the 2026-27 season. The teams from both leagues will play a single game in November and another in February during each year of the deal with each game being carried on an ESPN platform.. Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data, geography and frequency of past contests will be considered in determining the matchups.
