CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team played to its fifth straight tie, finishing 1-1 against the Texas State Bobcats on Monday afternoon at Conway High School.

• With the draw, Coastal moves to 3-4-6 overall and 0-1-6 in Sun Belt play.
• The Chants looked to strike early in the 15th minute when Silje Nilsen's long-range shot hit the post.
• Texas State took the lead in the 34th minute as Mady Soumare linked up with Constance Agyemang, who netted her fifth goal of the season.
• At the end of the first half, Coastal trailed 6-3 in shots and 3-1 in corner kicks.
• Three different Chants,Nilsen, Olivia Goretski, and Caitlyn Britt, each recorded one shot in the opening 45 minutes.
• Coastal appeared to level the score in the 78th minute when Rami Rapp found the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call.
• In the 82nd minute, Olivia Goretski drove into the box and was taken down to draw a penalty kick. Parkes then stepped up to the spot and buried the ball into the bottom left corner to tie the match at 1-1.
• CCU nearly took the lead in the final minute when Britt pulled her shot just wide, keeping the score level at 1-1.
• At the final whistle, both teams tallied 11 shots apiece, while the Chants held a 4-2 edge in saves.

The Chanticleers will next take on the Georgia Southern Eagles on Oct. 18 at the CCU Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.
