CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team battled back from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 draw against the Georgia Southern Eagles on Senior Night at the CCU Soccer Complex on Saturday.

• With the tie, Coastal moves to 3-4-7 overall and 0-1-7 in Sun Belt play.
• Georgia Southern took the lead in the 13th minute when Erin Wilkins found the back of the net from range to make it 1-0.
• In the 32nd minute, the Eagles doubled their advantage as Emma Chapman and Caitlin Conroy combined to assist Meredith Pugh for her first goal of the season.
• At halftime, Coastal trailed 4-2 in shots and 4-3 in corner kicks.
• The Chanticleers continued to fight, and in the 84th minute, Camryn McKee tapped the ball into the bottom right corner off an assist from Eefje Botjer to cut the deficit to 2-1.
• Coastal showed grit in the closing moments as Julia Ziegenfuss scored a diving header off a Botjer free kick to level the match at 2-2 in the 88th minute.
• At the final whistle, CCU held a 16-7 advantage in shots and a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.

The Chanticleers will head west to face the Marshall Thundering Herd on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
