CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina wraps up divisional play this weekend as it travels to Statesboro, Ga., to face Sun Belt East Division rival Georgia Southern on Friday and Saturday. The Chanticleers sit in second place in the East Division with an 8-2 record, one game behind James Madison (9-1). The Eagles are in third place with a 5-3 division record and have a pair of division matches next weekend, including one at Georgia State.

Jalyn Stout recorded her 10th triple-double of the season in Friday's series-opening match with 12 kills, 11 assists, and 10 digs. It was the 44th of her career, extending her NCAA record.

Anna Rita (10) each recorded double-digit kills in Saturday's match, while Stout led the Chants with 18 kills.

Ava Wallis posted a career-high 30 assists in Coastal's five-set win over App State. Her previous career high was 29, achieved twice before, including earlier this season against NC State.
• The Chanticleers recorded 60 kills in a match for the third time this season on Saturday. They had 61 in a four-set loss to JMU and 60 in their four-set win over NC State. Their 56 assists in the match marked their most in a five-set contest this season.
FOWLER RETURNS HOME: CCU junior
Emily Fowler is a native of Statesboro, Ga., and attended Southeast Bulloch High School. She leads the Chants in hitting percentage (.377), ranking third in the Sun Belt. She didn't play when CCU visited Hanner Fieldhouse as a freshman.
COASTAL UNBEATEN ON THE ROAD IN SBC: The Chanticleers are 4-0 on the road in conference play this season, having dropped just one set in their four matches. CCU opened SBC play at Marshall, sweeping the Herd in the first match and winning the next in four sets. Coastal then swept back-to-back matches at Georgia State. Overall, the Chanticleers are 6-2 in true road matches this season.
TOP-10 BLOCKER: Junior
Anna Rita moved into a tie for 10th place on the school's single-season total blocks list over the weekend, recording her 116th of the year. She is four blocks shy of becoming the third player in the rally-scoring era to collect 120 blocks in a season. Rita leads the SBC in total blocks and blocks per set (1.51).
TOP-10 HITTERS: CCU juniors
Emily Fowler and
Anna Rita each rank among the SBC leaders in hitting percentage. Fowler is third in the league with a .377 hitting percentage, while Rita ranks seventh at .340.
BLOCK PARTY: Coastal Carolina ranks among the top 20 nationally in both total blocks (9th) and blocks per set (17th), leading the Sun Belt in both categories. The Chanticleers have accumulated 219 total blocks, averaging 2.74 blocks per set. CCU led the Sun Belt in total blocks per set in 2019 (2.21) and 2021 (2.53).
