CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Old Dominion Monarchs on Friday evening in Norfolk, Va.

With the loss, Coastal falls to 1-6-0 overall and 0-3-0 in Sun Belt play.
Old Dominion struck first in the eighth minute when Out Bisong scored off assists from Alex Kryazhev and Lewis Rourke.
The Monarchs doubled their lead in the 13th minute as Bisong recorded his brace.
The Chants responded just four minutes later on a set piece. Freshman Jon Almudi delivered a free kick to the feet of Loed Klaasen, who fired the ball into the bottom right corner to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The score held for the remainder of the match, with Coastal trailing 13-5 in shots at the final whistle.
Eight of 11 Chanticleer starters played the full 90 minutes.

The Chanticleers will return home to host their third ranked opponent of the season, No. 8 West Virginia, on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. ET.
