NORFOLK, Va. — Coastal Carolina dropped a Sun Belt Conference matchup against Old Dominion on Saturday night, falling 47-7.
The Monarchs capitalized on a pair of first-half Chanticleer turnovers and jumped out to a 34-0 lead by halftime.
With 12:20 remaining in the fourth quarter, Tad Hudson put Coastal on the board with a three-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Wright.
On defense, Shane Bruce led the Chants with seven total tackles, while Zeke Campbell recorded six tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack. In the fourth quarter, Ibrahim Diawara forced a fumble on a strip sack that was recovered by Xamarion Gordon.
With the loss, Coastal falls to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Sun Belt play.
