CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina returns to the HTC Center for its final home weekend of the regular season, hosting South Alabama in a key two-match Sun Belt series Friday and Saturday. The Chants look to finish strong in front of their home crowd, with first serve set for 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Saturday's match will also serve as Senior Day as Coastal celebrates three standout student-athletes.
The Chanticleers will honor seniors
Bailee Earnhardt,
Kibi Huggins and
Leah Olsen prior to Saturday's match. Earnhardt has been a cornerstone of the program throughout her four-year career, surpassing 100 matches played and delivering more than 750 kills while helping Coastal capture the 2023 Sun Belt championship. Olsen was also part of the championship run, while Huggins has made an immediate impact since joining the program ahead of the 2025 season.
After spending the past two weekends on the road, the Chanticleers return to a venue where they've been strong all year, owning a 6-4 home mark that includes Sun Belt sweeps of Old Dominion and Appalachian State. Coastal aims to regain momentum as it gears up for postseason play.
The Chants hold a 15-7 advantage in the all-time series with South Alabama, including a dominant 14-5 record in Sun Belt match-ups. Coastal won the first 10 meetings after joining the league, though the Jaguars have taken six of the last nine, setting up another competitive series. The teams split in Mobile last fall.
Coastal Carolina has already secured the No. 2 seed out of the East Division for next week's Sun Belt Championship, finishing one game ahead of Georgia Southern with an 8-4 division record. East Division champion James Madison has clinched the overall No. 1 seed.
Complete pairings for the 2025 Sun Belt Championship will be announced at the conclusion of regular-season play this weekend.
