
Women's Basketball Begins Conference Play with JMU on Wednesday Night

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (6-5) starts Sun Belt play with JMU (8-4) on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network.

- With 11.2 points per game this season, Grimes leads the Sun Belt in points per game for a freshman.

COASTAL CHAOS
- Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable.
- The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
- This season, Coastal ranks 34th in the country with 21.9 turnovers forced per game, and 74th with a turnover margin of 3.6.
