CONWAY ---- Coastal Carolina men's basketball dropped a 64-46 game to Appalachian State on Thursday night inside the HTC Center. The two conference foes were tied at 30 with 15:59 left in the rivalry contest before App State pulled away with the victory.
 
The Mountaineers improved to 16-9 (9-4 Sun Belt Conference) with the result while Coastal moved to 8-16 (1-12)
 
Jordan Battle once again led CCU in the scoring department with 14 points.  
 
Points off turnovers proved to be the difference in the tightly played meeting as App State won the category, 7-2.
