CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team fell to the Elon Phoenix 5-2 on Friday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

- The Phoenix took an early lead, winning on courts No. 1 and No. 2 to clinch the doubles point.
- The Chants leveled the score when Iannis Fernandes won in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 at the no. 6 spot.
- Elon regained the lead for the second time, claiming wins on courts No. 4 and No. 1 to make the score 3-1.
- Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda narrowed the gap to 3-2, winning a three-set battle on court No. 5, 6-1, 0-6, 6-4.
- Elon won the final two singles matches on courts No. 2 and No. 3, both in three sets, to take the 5-2 victory.
