CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team fell to the UNCW Seahawks, 4-3, in its home opener at the Stevens Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.
"We talked about establishing a standard as a program today before the match. We took a positive step," stated head coach
Chris Powers. "Wilmington is a top-40 team and we went toe-to-toe with them on a lot of courts and won a quality doubles point. Hopefully we can learn lessons where we struggled and build off our success. College of Charleston is a huge test on the road Tuesday."
- Coastal claimed the doubles point with wins on courts No. 1 and 3.
- The Seahawks rallied from behind, winning the first four singles matches to secure the victory.
- Christopher Norlin and Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda secured singles wins on courts No. 4 and 6, marking their first victories for the Men in Teal.
