Women’s Tennis Set to Face No. 47 Virginia Tech, Georgia Southern

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team looks to build on the momentum of sweeping Louisiana and Texas State as it prepares for two matches this week. The Chanticleers will host No. 47 Virginia Tech on March 12 at 11 a.m. ET before traveling to Statesboro, Ga., to continue conference play against Georgia Southern on March 14 at 10 a.m. ET.
The Chanticleers (7-3) aim to extend their impressive six-match winning streak. CCU's Anna Babayan and Brunelle Kouam lead the team, each riding seven-match winning streaks into this week's action.
No. 47 Virginia Tech enters Wednesday's match with a 9-6 overall record. The Hokies have defeated fellow Sun Belt opponents James Madison (Feb. 2) and Marshall (Feb. 14) but come into the matchup on a five-match losing streak.
Georgia Southern holds an 8-4 overall record but is 0-1 in conference play after falling to Texas State 4-0. The Eagles will look to snap a two-match losing streak.
