AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team finished sixth at the Valspar Invitational in Augusta, Ga. The Chanticleers shot scores of 308-296 (+28) in the first two rounds on Saturday before Sunday's action was canceled due to inclement weather.
Aofie Devaney led the Chanticleers, finishing 15th in the field with scores of 77 and 71 to finish at four over par.
Sara Sarrion was two shots behind, posting scores of 77-73 to tie for 18th place.
Georgia Southern led the field, shooting a 6-over 582 to finish first. UCF followed in second place with a 9-over 585, while Michigan State claimed third with an 11-over 587.
The Chanticleers will return to action at the City of Oaks Collegiate at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh, N.C., on March 21-22.
