Men’s Tennis Set for Pair of Sun Belt Road Matches

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team is set for two road Sun Belt Conference contests this weekend. The Chanticleers will kick off action against James Madison on March 21 at 2 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup against No. 59 Old Dominion on March 23 at 1 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers enter the weekend with a 5-7 overall record and a 1-1 mark in conference play. James Madison sits at 5-5 overall and 0-1 in Sun Belt action, while Old Dominion holds an 8-7 overall record and a 1-0 conference mark.

Coastal Carolina and James Madison have met 17 times since their first matchup on Feb. 4, 1997, with the Chanticleers leading the series 10-7. Coastal is 0-2 against Old Dominion, having fallen 4-1 in their last meeting.

Reigning Sun Belt Player of the Week Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda will look to build on his successful week, in which he picked up a doubles win over South Alabama at the No. 2 spot and completed a comeback singles victory to clinch the match against Troy.
