CCU Donor Fitzpatrick Makes Significant Gift To Baseball Program

CONWAY, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics received a substantial multi-year gift from Pete Fitzpatrick to support the Chanticleers baseball program.

The gift will support the baseball program and allow it to continue to compete at the highest level, securing the program's bright future.

"Thank you to Pete Fitzpatrick for his incredible generosity," Chance Miller, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation, said. "This multi-year gift is one of the largest sports-directed gifts in school history and is a game-changer for Coastal Carolina Baseball and Coastal Carolina Athletics. It's a bold investment in the future of intercollegiate athletics as we approach revenue sharing with our student-athletes. This donation, combined with Coastal Carolina Athletics' commitment to increasing scholarships for the baseball program and Coach Schnall's leadership, will position us to remain one of the elite programs in college baseball."

"We are immensely grateful to Mr. Pete for his exceptional generosity and selflessness," Baseball Head Coach Kevin Schnall said. "His donation and support are unparalleled, and his contributions will play a pivotal role in ensuring we remain one of the nation's premier baseball programs. This extraordinary gift is truly transformative for both our student-athletes and the program as a whole. It represents a significant investment that will undoubtedly shape the future of Coastal Carolina baseball for years to come."

Miller and Schnall encourage Coastal Carolina donors to join in Fitzpatrick's support of the Chanticleers baseball program.

"With this support, we are not only preparing for a return to Omaha but also building toward additional national championships, solidifying our status as a powerhouse in the sport," Miller said. "Mr. Pete's donation puts us ahead for the future, and I encourage all of Teal Nation to follow his lead and help take Coastal Carolina Athletics to the next level."
