CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men and women's track & field team will participate in two meets this weekend, as the Chants will send athletes to the Wake Forest Invitational (April 17-18) in Winston-Salem, N.C. and the Tom Jones Invitational (April 18-19) in Gainesville, F.L.
Men's Notes (Wake Forest Invitational)
- Trey Kraimer set a new school record in the 800m at the Raleigh Relays in late March and will return to the event this weekend.
Women's Notes (Wake Forest Invitational)
- Amilia Wise-Sweat broke an over 20-year school record by posting a time of 2:08.99 in the 800m at the Raleigh Relays last month. Wise-Sweat returns to the event this weekend.
Men's Notes (Tom Jones Invitational)
- After posting the fourth-best time on the program's top 10 list in the 400m hurdles at 51.98 at the Duke Invitational, Omari Taylor will return to the event looking to improve on his mark.
Women's Notes (Tom Jones Invitational)
- Following a fourth place finish in the 100m hurdles at the Duke Invitational last weekend,
Amanda Kinloch looks to improve on her personal-best time of 13.18.
