Box Score ROME, Ga. – The No. 6-seeded Coastal Carolina men's tennis team upset No. 3-seeded South Alabama 4–3 to advance to the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals on Friday afternoon.

The victory marked Coastal's first-ever win over the Jaguars in program history.

"History made! The guys wanted this one so bad for the program, and today they bled teal for CCU," head coach Chris Powers said. "I couldn't be more proud of them for their fight and determination today. It's a great day for our program."

• The Chanticleers opened the match in top form, earning wins on courts one and three to secure the doubles point and take an early 1–0 lead.
• The Jaguars bounced back in singles play, collecting wins on courts three, four, and six to grab a 3–1 advantage.
• Christopher Norlin sparked the comeback for Coastal with a 6–3, 7–5 win at the No. 1 spot, narrowing the deficit to 3–2. Sophomore Juan Cruz Collardin then leveled the match at 3–3 with a straight-sets victory, 7–5, 6–4, on court two.
• With the match on the line, Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda delivered in the clutch, grinding out a 6–4, 6–4 win on court five to clinch the deciding point and punch Coastal's ticket to the semifinals.
• The Chanticleers will face No. 2-seeded Georgia Southern on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
