Winston-Salem, N.C./Gainesville, Fla. - Coastal Carolina track & field participated in both the Wake Forest Invitational and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday. The Chants saw four athletes post top-10 results in school history throughout the day. 

The highlight of Friday's performances was Amilia Wise-Sweat improving on her school-record time in the 800 meters at the Wake Forest Invitational with a time of 2:08.29 and a fifth place finish overall. 

For the third consecutive week, Omari Taylor improved his time in the 400 meter hurdles in the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational at 51.91, ranking as the third-best in school history. 

Sterling Sellier posted a time of 9:13.40 in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Wake Forest Invitational, ranking as the fifth-best in school history. 

In the men's long jump, Terrique Webb placed sixth in school history and fifth overall with a jump of 7.39 meters at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational.

The Chants will finish out the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational from Gainesville, Fla. tomorrow.
