MADISON, Miss. – Coastal Carolina sophomore Jack Lee sank a birdie putt on the first playoff hole to capture the 2025 Sun Belt Championship on Thursday at the Annandale Golf Club with a 3-2 win over reigning champion Arkansas State. 

Lee won the final two holes of his match against Arkansas State's Chris Somerfield to force a playoff, sinking a pair of par putts on No. 17 and No. 18, while Somerset carded a bogey on both holes to extend the match.
 
The top-seeded Chanticleers got championship match wins from Drew Sykes, who posted a 4&2 result over Jake Lile, and Trey Crenshaw who recorded a 5&4 triumph over Jack Massey.
 
Coastal Carolina captured the No. 1 seed for match play by posting the lowest team score during stroke play and defeated No. 4 Troy in the semifinals before overthrowing No. 2 Arkansas State in the finals.
 
The Chanticleers also defeated the Trojans by a score of 3-2. Skyes recorded a 3&2 victory over Nick Fowlkes at the No. 5 position, Crenshaw was a 3&2 winner over Pablo Garcia at the No. 1 spot and Max Bengtsson beat Jake Springer, 3&2, at the No. 3 position. Bengtsson pared No. 16 to clinch the match for the Chanticleers. 

Coastal Carolina will be making its 13th NCAA Regional appearance and first since 2018. The NCAA Division I Men's Golf selection show will be televised on April 30 at 1 p.m. EDT on Golf Channel. The regional championships will be held May 12-14.
