Charlotte, N.C. - Coastal Carolina track & field started their final meet of the regular season at the Charlotte Invitational on Friday. The Chants competed in six events through the first of the two-day meet.Â
Zayna Fray-Samuel highlighted the first day of action, improving on her personal best in the women's hammer throw at 58.99 meters, good for second in the event and the second best throw in school history. Â
Erin McQuitty placed third and set a new personal-best in the women's 5000 meter with a time of 18:05.82, and was followed closely by fifth place finisher Olivia Goeser at 18:27.91.Â
