Chants Head To FGCU To Wrap Up Spring Season

ESTERO, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina men's golf team travels to Florida's Gulf Coast this week to compete in the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate, April 7-8, at the Old Corkscrew Golf Course, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University. This will be the Chants' final event prior to the Sun Belt Conference championships to be held later this month.
Florida Atlantic, Jacksonville, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, and UAB will join the Eagles and Chanticleers in the two-day event, along with Sun Belt Conference members James Madison, Louisiana, and Troy.
The 10-team field will participate in a 54-hole tournament over two days, with the first 36 holes played on Monday and the final round played on Tuesday.
FGCU is the highest-ranked team in the field at No. 50 followed by three additional top 100 teams: No. 52 Troy, No. 71 Louisiana, and No. 84 CCU.
The Chanticleers will sport a lineup that features Max Bengtsson, Drew Sykes, Jack Lee, Trace McDonald, and Owen Kim with Trey Crenshaw playing as an individual.
Bengsston leads the team with a 71.1 stroke average through 21 rounds at seven events this season.
