Chants Season Ends At NCAA Bremerton Regional

BREMERTON, Wash. - The 2024-25 season came to a close Wednesday afternoon for the Coastal Carolina men's golf team as it wrapped up play at the NCAA Bremerton Regional at the Gold Mountain Golf Club on Wednesday. The Chanticleers, making their first NCAA appearance since 2018, tied for 13th overall with a final score of 34-over par 898 (311-293-294). 

Eighth-ranked Florida finished first at 28-under 836, winning the regional by three strokes over No. 5 Arizona State (-25). Colorado (-4), South Florida (-2) and South Carolina (E) rounded out the top five to advance to the NCAA Championship finals in Carlsbad, Calif.
 
Utah's Braxton Watts finished atop the individual leaderboard, carding a three-day total of 12-under 204. Watts will also head to the finals as the top finisher, not on one of the advancing teams.
 
Junior Max Bengtsson was the Chanticleers' top finisher, shooting 2-over 218 for the tournament to finish tied for 24th. He posted his best round of the tournament with a 3-under 69 in round three as he birdied three of the final six holes.
 
Sophomore Jack Lee shot even-par Wednesday and tied for 49th at 7-over 223. Freshman Drew Sykes fired a third round 3-over 75 and finished tied for 59th in his first NCAA Regional appearance.
 
Seniors Trey Crenshaw (+17) and Trace McDonald (+21) finished 69th and 71st, respectively, to close their collegiate careers.
