TEMPE, Ariz. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team had all eight members recognized as Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Monday.
Nicole Abel,
Anna Babayan,
Katya Hersh,
Brooke Rogers,
Aida Mitrache,
Sarah Clark,
Brunelle Kouam, and
Paula Cabrer were among 1,462 Division I student-athletes honored for earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year.
This marks the third career ITA Scholar-Athlete honor for Babayan, the second for Abel, Hersh, Rogers, and Mitrache, and the first for Clark, Cabrer, and Kouam.
In addition to individual accolades, Coastal Carolina was one of 222 women's tennis programs nationwide to earn ITA All-Academic Team honors. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
