DAVIDSON, N.C. — Coastal Carolina plays its first three of 10 consecutive matches outside the HTC Center this weekend at the Wildcat Classic hosted by Davidson College. The Chanticleers will face 2024 MEAC champion Delaware State on Friday, then take on Elon and Davidson on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORIES
Delaware State: The Chants and Hornets are meeting for the first time on Friday.
Elon: Coastal Carolina has won seven straight matches over Elon and holds a 10-3 all-time advantage. The Chants posted a 3-1 win over the Phoenix during their last match in 2023. Before the latest meeting, the two former conference foes hadn't met since 2002.
Davidson: CCU trails the series with the Wildcats 4-9 but won the last match in 2022, 3-1. Nine of the 13 meetings were contested from 1987 to '93.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Chants dropped a five-set heartbreaker, 3-2, to South Carolina at the HTC Center on Wednesday. Coastal rallied to force a deciding fifth set after trailing 2-1 and led 14-2 in the final frame, but the Gamecocks scored three straight points to send the set to extras.
• Emily Fowler recorded a season-high 16 kills and had three total blocks. Anna Rita registered 11 kills and collected six total blocks (three solo, three assists).
• Jalyn Stout posted a double-double with 23 assists and 13 digs, as did Ava Wallis with 22 assists and 10 digs. Becca Micelle collected a season-high 15 digs, and Bailee Earnhardt had 11 digs.
CHANTS CHECK
• Stout has posted two consecutive double-doubles following her season-opening triple-double. She leads all active NCAA players with 35 career triple-doubles.
• Earnhardt recorded double-digit digs in two of the first three matches with a career-high 19 against Maryland.
• Wallis has registered a double-double against Maryland and South Carolina and has over 20 assists in all three matches.
• Rita has 13 of the team's 29 total blocks this season. Fowler is second on the team with nine.
• Van Elslande recorded a career-high 12 kills versus South Carolina on Wednesday. It was her first double-digit effort of the season and sixth of her career.
• Fowler is second on the team in kills (33) behind Stout (40). She has double-digit kills in two of the first three matches.
• Anzley Rinard has 84 attacks in the first three matches, second to Stout, who is one shy of 100 for the season.
