CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (10-11, 3-6) returns to the HTC Center to face Texas State (9-10, 5-4) on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network.

- Despite being 3-6 in conference play, the Chants are still the sixth-best Sun Belt team in the NET rankings, ranking 127th overall.

- Coastal bounced back with a dominating 81-55 win over Southern Miss in Hattiesburg on Saturday following its loss to Louisiana on Wednesday.

- In her second season with Coastal, graduate guard Kristin Williams had led the Chants in scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game and ranks eighth in the Sun Belt.
- Williams has found her groove in Sun Belt play, averaging 15.3 points per game across nine conference games.
- She ranks fourth the country with 3.2 three-pointers per game and third in overall three-pointers with 67.
- Williams currently has 996 career points during her time at UMass and Coastal.
THREE-POINT PARTY
- Currently, Coastal ranks 23rd in the country with 8.8 made three-pointers per game.
- The Chants are also ranked 35th in the country with 25.6 three-point attempts per contest.
- Both Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady rank in the top-50 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams in third (67) and Grady tied for 41st (53).
- Williams and Grady rank first and fourth in the SBC with 3.2 and 2.5 three-pointers per game.
COASTAL CHAOS
- Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable.
- The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
- This season, Coastal ranks 68th in the country with 19.5 turnovers forced per game, and 115th with a turnover margin of 2.1.
PEDERSON REACHES 500
- Coastal Carolina Head Coach Kevin Pederson won his 500th career game on Dec. 29, 2025 against Columbia College.
- He holds 59 victories at Coastal, the fastest coach in program history to reach that mark.
