CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse goalie
Charlotte Sadler was selected the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It marks the second weekly award of her career.
Sadler earned the honor following a standout performance against East Carolina on Saturday. She played all 60 minutes, recorded 13 saves, and held the Pirates to eight goals after they scored 15 against fellow ASUN member Queens in their previous game.
She leads the ASUN with 24 saves this season and owns the league's best goals-against average (8.54).
Coastal Carolina (3-0) returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 18, against Charlotte. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Jerry Richardson Stadium on the UNC Charlotte campus and will be streamed on ESPN+.
