JONESBORO, ARK. - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (11-12, 4-7) begins their four-game road trip with Arkansas State (19-4, 10-1) on Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Jonesboro, Ark. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network.
ABOUT THE CHANTS
- Despite being 4-7 in conference play, the Chants are still the sixth-best Sun Belt team in the NET rankings, ranking 120th overall.
- The Chanticleers are one of the highest-volume three-point shooting teams in the country, ranking 16th with 9.0 three-pointers per game and 31st with 25.7 three-point attempts per game.
- Coastal fell to Troy 88-77 on Friday afternoon at the HTC Center.
- The game was tied at 63 with 8:42 left before the Trojans ended the game by outscoring the Chants 25-14.
- Coastal went 27-63 (43%) from the field and 12-30 (40%) from three-point range, while making 11 of 17 free throws.
- Tessa Grady set a career-high with 25 points on 9-12 shooting and 5-8 from three while making both free throws.
- Through 23 games, Coastal ranks 54th in the country with 74.7 points per game
- Kristin Williams leads the team in scoring with 14.0 points per game.
ABOUT THE RED WOLVES
- Arkansas State holds a 19-4 overall record and 10-2 in Sun Belt play, currently at the top of the conference standings.
- The Red Wolves defeated Georgia State 69-61 in Atlanta, Ga. on Thursday for their fifth straight win.
- Zyion Shannon leads the team in scoring with 13.3 points per game.
- Destinee Rogers is in her fourth full season as the head coach of the Red Wolves and won the Sun Belt tournament last season.

- Coastal will be meeting Arkansas State for the 13th time, with the series tied 6-6.

- In her second season with Coastal, graduate guard Kristin Williams had led the Chants in scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game and ranks ninth in the Sun Belt.
- Williams has found her groove in Sun Belt play, averaging 15.1 points per game across 11 conference games.
- She ranks third the country with 3.1 three-pointers per game and second in overall three-pointers with 72.
- Williams scored her 1,000th career point against South Alabama on Jan. 17.

- Currently, Coastal ranks 16th in the country with 9.0 made three-pointers per game.
- The Chants are also ranked 31st in the country with 25.7 three-point attempts per contest.
- Both Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady rank in the top-30 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams in second (72) and Grady tied for 25th (61).
- Williams and Grady rank first and third in the SBC with 3.1 and 2.7 three-pointers per game.
COASTAL CHAOS
- Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable.
- The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
- This season, Coastal ranks 58th in the country with 19.6 turnovers forced per game, and 115th with a turnover margin of 2.1.
