BOWLING GREEN, OHIO - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (11-13, 4-8) plays the second round of the MAC-SBC Challenge against Bowling Green on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network.
ABOUT THE CHANTS
- Despite being 4-8 in conference play, the Chants are still the sixth-best Sun Belt team in the NET rankings, ranking 124th overall.
- The Chanticleers are one of the highest-volume three-point shooting teams in the country, ranking 17th with 9.0 three-pointers per game and 29th with 25.8 three-point attempts per game.
- Coastal fell Arkansas State 78-70 on Wednesday night in Joneboro.
- The game was tied at 65 with 3:27 remaining before the Red Wolves outscored Coastal 13-5 the rest of the way.
- Coastal went 23-55 (42%) from the field and 10-28 (36%) from three-point range, while making 14 of 20 free throws.
- Tessa Grady led the Chants in scoring for the third game in a row with 24.
- Through 23 games, Coastal ranks 57th in the country with 74.5 points per game
- Kristin Williams and Grady lead the team with 13.7 points per game.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
- Bowling Green holds an 11-11 overall record and 4-7 in MAC play, currently eighth in the conference standings.
- The Falcons fell to Kent State 73-64 in Kent, Ohio on Wednesday.
- Paige Kohler leads the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game.
- Fred Chmiel is in his third season as the head coach of the Falcons after going 18-13 last season.

- Coastal will be meeting Bowling Green for the second time.

- Junior Tessa Grady has reached another level the last three games, scoring 21 against Texas St., a career-high 25 against Troy, and 24 at Arkansas State.

- Grady ranks second in the conference during Sun Belt play in three-point percentage at 38%.

- Currently, Coastal ranks 17th in the country with 9.0 made three-pointers per game.
- The Chants are also ranked 29th in the country with 25.8 three-point attempts per contest.
- Both Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady rank in the top-20 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams in second (74) and Grady tied for 18th (66).
- Williams and Grady rank first and third in the SBC with 3.1 and 2.8 three-pointers per game.
COASTAL CHAOS
- Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable.
- The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
- This season, Coastal ranks 57th in the country with 19.6 turnovers forced per game, and 132nd with a turnover margin of 1.5.
