MYRTLE BEACH – Coastal Carolina track & field collected 34 points and stands in second place after the first day of the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge from Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Friday. Appalachian State leads with 41 points. 

NOTABLE RESULTS

Ella Steel-Douglas, Sierra Smith, Jaela Bailey, Zionna Perez-Tucker - Won the 4x200m (1:36.70)
Robert Byron - Won the men's hammer throw (52.25m)
Emelia Thurston - Won the women's long jump (6.03m)
Connor Teague - Won the men's long jump (6.98m)
