CONWAY, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina softball team will host Marshall for its fifth Sun Belt series of the season on April 10-12.
 
Scouting the Opponent

• Marshall leads the Sun Belt with a 29–10 overall record and a 10–2 mark in conference play.
• The Thundering Herd has earned series wins over Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Texas State, and App State.
• Marshall are sitting on a six-game win streak, most recently run-ruling Pitt 8-0 (6 innings) on April 7.
• Marshall tops the league with 70 home runs this season, with Sydni Burko leading the way with 15. Burko also ranks seventh in the Sun Belt with 47 hits and third with a .825 slugging percentage.
• Jules King leads the pitching staff with 98 strikeouts, while Paige Maynard paces the team with a 2.25 ERA.

• CCU leads the series 12–8 against the Thundering Herd.
• The Chants defeated Marshall 5–2 to reach the semifinals of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
