CONWAY – The AVCA announced its 2026 Top Flight Award winners on Friday, with Coastal Carolina's pair of Ava Novello and Karis Gordon being among the 80 pairs representing 35 schools to take home the honors.
The Top Flight program, now in its eighth year, recognizes beach pairs who compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight and win at least 75% of their matches. This year, 80 pairs representing 35 schools—from all three NCAA divisions, NAIA, and Two-Year Colleges—have earned Top Flight status
Novello and Gordon finished with a 22-4 overall record across flights four and five, finishing the regular season on an 18-match winning streak. The pair were named to the All-Sun Belt First Team following the season.
It's the sixth time that Coastal has had a pair win the AVCA Top Flight award.
