MBB Honored By NABC With Academic Awards

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's basketball team was recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 academic year.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that finished the 2025-26 academic year with a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The Chanticleers posted a 3.289 team GPA, earning the honor for the second time in the past three seasons. Coastal Carolina was one of two Sun Belt Conference programs to receive the award, joining App State.

In addition, more than 2,300 players were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who completed the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Former Chanticleers AJ Dancler, Braeden MacVicar, Charles Dunlap, Connor Martin, Jackson Keil, Jerry Ngopot and Reggie Hill were among this year's honorees.

The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and student-athletes across all levels of college men's basketball.
