Coastal Carolina Launches New Weekly Pep Rally Featuring The Ryan Beard Show

CONWAY, S.C. -- Coastal Carolina Athletics is bringing a new tradition to downtown Conway this fall with a weekly pep rally throughout the 2026 football season. Beginning Sept. 1, the event will take place every Tuesday night and feature The Ryan Beard Show as part of the festivities.
The pep rally will take place outside Chanti's Pizza from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. To accommodate the event, portions of Laurel Street from Second Avenue to the fountain, Peanut Road and the driveway to the Horry County parking lot may be closed to vehicle traffic. Those interested in watching The Ryan Beard Show live from its new outdoor stage are encouraged to bring folding chairs.
"We are incredibly excited to create a new tradition that gives Chanticleer fans another opportunity to come together and celebrate Coastal Carolina," said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation Chance Miller. "There is something special about bringing our fans, students, coaches and community together each week, and we believe Tuesday nights in downtown Conway can become something our entire fanbase looks forward to throughout the fall. We are extremely grateful to Chanti's Pizza and the leadership of Conway Downtown Alive for embracing this vision and helping us create an atmosphere that connects Coastal Carolina Athletics even more closely with the community we are so proud to call home."
The weekly celebration will feature appearances from the Coastal Carolina pep band, cheer and dance teams, bringing the energy and atmosphere of game day to downtown Conway.
As part of the pep rally, The Ryan Beard Show will air live from 6-7 p.m. Joe Catenacci will sit down with Beard to discuss the Chanticleers' season and program, while two Coastal Carolina football student-athletes will join Beard each week throughout the season, along with other coaches and special guests. The two football student-athletes, as well as student-athletes from other Coastal Carolina teams, will be available to sign autographs from 5:30-6 p.m.
For those unable to attend in person, The Ryan Beard Show can be heard live on WRXZ, Rock 107.1 in Myrtle Beach, the flagship station of the Chanticleer Sports Network.
Food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on site throughout the evening, along with a variety of local vendors.
In the event of inclement weather, Coastal Carolina Athletics will announce any changes to the pep rally on the day of the event. If weather forces cancellation of the pep rally, The Ryan Beard Show will still take place as scheduled from 6-7 p.m. inside Chanti's Pizza.
